US Veteran Francis Edward DeCoteau, 89, of Claremont, NH, died on August 18, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Rochester, NH, on June 12, 1928 ,the son of Thomas and Cecile (Duchemine) DeCoteau.
Francis was an aerial photographer in the US Air Force. He retired from the Claremont Fire Department as a Captain after 25 years of service.
He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golf and his trips to Maine. He loved spending time with his family.
The family includes his wife, Shirley (Murray) DeCoteau; a son, Scott DeCoteau and his wife, Deborah; two grandchildren, Dustin DeCoteau and Kylie Russell; four great grandchildren, Landon, Karter, Makaela and Holden and nieces, Jacki Zoost and Patti Deschamps.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Thomas DeCoteau Jr. and his sister, Loretta Bodge.
Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Tuesday, August 22nd, from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM.
