She was a native and lifelong resident of Claremont, born on March 11, 1935, the daughter of William and Mary (Pond) Sylvester Sr.
Marie was a graduate of Stevens High School in the class of 1953.
She had worked for the State and City Welfare Departments and as a Crossing Guard for the Claremont Police Department.
Marie enjoyed going to yard sales and playing bingo. Her family was very important to her, spending a lot of her time attending sporting events for her family. She never missed the Stevens Alumni Parade.
She is survived by her children, Paul “Finnagan” Dansereau Jr. and his wife, Gail, Anna M. Martin and her husband, Bill, Susan Dansereau, Ernest “Bimbo” Dansereau and his wife, Sandy, Pamela Dansereau and her boyfriend, John MacDonald, Stuart “Jamie” Dansereau and his wife, Maryjo, Gordon “Goo Goo” Dansereau and his girlfriend, Rebecca Stanley, Patrick Dansereau and his wife, Ellen and Dwight Dansereau; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Earl “Red’ Dansereau, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul R. Dansereau Sr. who died in 1988; her son, Earl B. Dansereau; brother, William Sylvester Jr. and two sisters, Pauline Dansereau and Theresa Reil.
Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Friday evening, July 27th from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Church on Saturday morning at 11 AM with V.G. Rev. Shawn Therrien officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
