Helen L. Marro, 90, formerly of Hillside Terrace in Claremont, NH, died Thursday (March 14, 2019) at Sullivan County Healthcare in Unity, NH, following a period of failing health.
She was born in Claremont, NH, on April 6, 1928, the daughter of Edmond and Elsie (Mason) Girard and had been a lifetime area resident. Helen had been employed in the finishing room at Dartmouth Woolen Mill for many years. She enjoyed bird watching and flower gardening. She was the widow of Floyd “Rendy” Marro who died in 2009.
Members of her family include three daughters, Linda Finley and her husband, Charles, Londonderry, NH; Mary Scott and her husband, Thomas, Port St. Lucie, FL; Jill Bradstreet and her husband, Gordon, Plainfield, NH; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister Rita Fontaine, Claremont, NH; two step- sons, Richard Marro, Laconia, NH; Robert Marro, Standish, ME; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Alfred Girard, Louis Girard, three sisters, Evelyn Martell, Doris Knapton, Alma Gill and a stepdaughter, Joyce Richardson.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday (March 16) at the Roy Funeral Home with Rev. Priscilla Hull, officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
