Edward J. Grenier, 86, of Park Avenue in Claremont, NH, died Friday evening July 13, 2018, at the Sullivan County Health Care peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was born in Stratford, P.Q. Canada, on November 21, 1931, the son of Arsene and Delia (Jacques) Grenier and resided in Claremont most of his life. He graduated from St. Mary School and then served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956 as a Staff Sergeant.
Ed was a vendor and delivery man for Coca-Cola for over 20 years. Then he worked for LaValley’s from 1983 until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Finnemore of Charlestown; his son, Keith Grenier and his wife, Fleurette of Claremont; four grandchildren, Michael Lavigne, Jessica Lavigne, Drew Grenier and Ellee Grenier; two great grandchildren, Finnegan and Garrett. Also nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (McCarthy) Grenier in 2001; his parents; siblings, Roger Grenier, William Grenier, Gerald Grenier, Andre Grenier, Simone Lytle, Cyril Grenier, Cecile Dubois and Armante Jarvis; great granddaughter, Eowyn Lavigne.
Visiting hours will be held at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Wednesday, July 18th from 5 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Joseph Church on Thursday morning at 11 AM.
Burial with military honors will follow in St Mary Cemetery.
