Donna J. Boardman, 72, of Blueberry Hill in Charlestown, NH, died Monday (Jan. 29, 2018) at her home following a period of failing health.
She was born in Montpelier, VT, on August 5, 1945, the daughter of Harold F. and Joan M. (Cyr) Dearborn and had been a longtime area resident. Donna had been employed as a nurse’s aide at Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community in Windsor, VT. After receiving her Associates Degree in Accounting from Granite State College, she was employed as an accountant at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH. Donna enjoyed playing bingo, caring for her flower gardens, teaching her sisters to cook but her number one love was being with her husband, John on their motorcycle.
Members of her family include her husband, John W. Boardman, Sr. Charlestown, NH; two sons, Timothy Boardman, Colchester, VT; John W. Boardman, Jr. Charlestown, NH; a daughter, Cassandra Boardman, Springfield, VT; a granddaughter, Patience Boardman, Ripley, MS, two brothers, Darrell Cyr, Windsor, VA; Timothy Dearborn, Greenwich, NY; seven sisters, Joan Lindley, Savannah, GA; Theresa Sisson, Charleston, SC; Paula Burke, Agawam, MA; Nancy Roache, Westfield, MA; Janet Phillips, Shaftsbury, VT; Sherry LeMay, Whitehall, NY; Diane Carrier, St. Johnsbury, VT and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday (Feb. 3) at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH with the Rev. Fred Sisson, Donna’s brother in law, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services.
