Anita J. Pollard, 64 of 243 Broad Street in Claremont, NH, died Wednesday (October 4, 2017) at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born in Rutland, VT, on September 23, 1953, the daughter of Frank and Katharine (Martin) Blanchard. Anita served as president of the Marion Philips Tenants Association. She enjoyed bingo, painting, knitting, needlepoint and cross-stitch.
Members of her family include, her husband, Charles Pollard, Bradford, VT; daughters, Sarah Stacy, Claremont, NH; Ranee Curtis, Groton, VT; Maria Darrow, Niceville, FL; a son, Scott Pollard, Weathersfield, VT; her mother, Katharine Blanchard, Enfield, NH; nine grandchildren, Elijah Stacy, Patrick Stacy, Brittany Stacy, Tyler Curtis, Ryan Curtis, Bridick Pollard, Haylee Pollard, Alex Darrow, Katie Darrow, one great granddaughter, Melody Stacy, two brothers, Paul Blanchard, Claremont, NH; Gene Blanchard, Hartford, VT; two sisters, Sheila Shambo, Windsor, VT; Trudy Allen, Enfield, NH; her beloved cat, Sugar, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father and a son, Michael Porter.
A Celebration of Anita’s Life will be held at on Wednesday (October 11,) at 10:00am at Arrowhead Recreation Area, 18 Robert Easter Way, Claremont, NH.
Committal Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater, VT.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society, 14 Tremont Street, Claremont, NH 03743.
